Possession. Curses. Scary crap out there. Or is it?
There’ve been a lot of funny little comments on different forums and groups that I’ve had the great privilege to enjoy, and I’ve watched how people’s own paranoia ends up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy for them.
“A spirit cannot possess you unless some part of you has given it permission.”
“Possession is not the invasion of evil—it is the echo of the unloved self.”
Possession is an inner phenomenon: What people call possession is often a dramatization of their own disowned parts or unconscious material demanding recognition.
Fear fuels fragmentation: Paranoia and fear-based thinking create vulnerabilities by disconnecting us from our inner wholeness.
Belief is a magical act: Believing in curses or possession can energetically make them real; belief programs perception.
Sovereignty is the antidote: Integration and self-ownership are the true defenses against possession—not superstition or ritual alone.
Entities are mirrors: Spirits and demons are best understood as archetypal energies or aspects of the unconscious, not external malevolence.
True curses are inherited identities: Conditioning, social programming, and limiting self-concepts act like curses more insidiously than occult workings.
Ritual as re-integration: Rituals should be tools to awaken and retrieve the soul, not to beg for rescue from external forces.
“Belief is the original wand; wield it wisely or summon your own suffering.”
“Demons are not out to get you—they’re within you, begging to be made whole.”
In today’s episode, I want to tackle the subject of possession and spirits. I’m not just speaking from an intellectual place—I’m speaking from a place of experience. I’m going to tell you a little bit about my journey, some of the things that happened to me, how I overcame them, and the insights I gleaned. These are useful tools and resources you can use to immunize yourself against both internal and external threats.
Sit back, relax—and remember: live deliciously.
Possession is a controversial topic in many spiritual and religious circles. It’s something that’s dramatized in movies and often misunderstood. I want to demystify it. I want to speak about what possession really is—how it operates on a psychological level, on a ritualistic level, and even on a magical level.
There’s this idea of external entities taking over. People fear it, and fear is a powerful thing. It can distort your perception. But here’s the reality: a spirit cannot possess you unless there is a part of you that’s given it permission. That may sound harsh, but it’s an empowering truth.
You see, possession is less about a demon trying to ruin your life and more about aspects of your unconscious you’ve disowned. It is your own shadow, dressed up in symbolic clothing, acting out in ways you haven’t integrated.
I’ve gone through experiences that were terrifying. I’ve felt like something was in the room with me, felt my body not fully under my control. But when I went into those states with awareness, what I found was that the energy was mirroring some unacknowledged part of myself. The “demon” wasn’t evil—it was a piece of me trying to be heard.
It’s important to understand that belief plays a crucial role. If you believe that you are cursed, then that belief can manifest. Your mind is the most powerful magical tool you have. It’s the original wand. And if that wand is pointing toward paranoia and fear, you’re summoning exactly what you dread.
On the flip side, if you understand that you are the magician, that your identity shapes your experience, then you reclaim your power. You stop being at the mercy of unseen forces and begin negotiating with them consciously.
This doesn’t mean entities don’t exist. I’ve worked with spirits, invoked them, banished them. But I understand them as symbols, forces, and intelligences—archetypes that help us interact with aspects of our psyche and reality.
I’m not afraid of demons anymore. Why? Because I’ve become intimate with my own darkness. That is the way. That is the work.
You want to stop being vulnerable to possession? Then stop disowning who you are. Stop making parts of yourself “bad.” Stop fragmenting yourself. Integrate. Become whole. The more of yourself you own, the less there is for anything else to grab hold of.
The real possession we suffer from isn’t by spirits—it’s by belief systems we didn’t choose. By identities passed down to us. By paradigms we never questioned.
Every time I’ve seen someone claim they’re cursed or possessed, what I’m actually witnessing is a person who’s adopted a belief so deeply that it’s running their life from the shadows.
The cure isn’t an exorcism. The cure is knowledge, sovereignty, and radical self-ownership.
I use ritual as a tool of alignment. I use invocation as a method of embodiment. I conjure spirits not to bow to them but to learn from them. To awaken something within myself.
Magick is not about controlling the universe—it’s about aligning your consciousness with it. It’s about remembering that the gods, the demons, the spirits—they all live within you.
So if you’re worried about possession, ask yourself: what part of me am I not listening to? What have I called evil that is actually just unloved?
There is no curse more powerful than a fragmented self.
Let your practice be one of wholeness. Let your rituals bring back the pieces. Let your beliefs empower, not imprison.
And above all—live deliciously.
